Welcome to my blog!

Hey there, welcome to my little corner of the internet!

My name is Holly, and I’m going to be blatantly honest with you — I put off starting this blog for a very long time. Why, you ask (or maybe you didn’t, but I’m going to answer the question anyway)? Because I am all over the place. I have a lot of hobbies and interests, and my style changes constantly. One day, I’m all about dark and moody vibes; the next, I’m midcentury modern. And sometimes, I’m just a huge mess — And I think it’s time that I start embracing that instead of shoving it in the attic (or basements if you’re more into that).

For the longest time, I felt pressure to “pick a niche” and stick with it. But that’s just not who I am. So, this blog will be a mix of Lifestyle, Home, Real Estate, and whatever else inspires me (and hopefully you) along the way. From travel & adventure, to DIY & furniture flipping, to selling & buying a home, to books & writing — There’s a little something for everyone here. I’ve done my best to create an organized mess here so that you can easily find what you’re in the mood for without feeling overwhelmed.

My goal is to be as transparent with you as possible, about everything. My life is a mess, it is far from perfect and I don’t want to depict that it is. But I want you to know that your life doesn’t have to perfect.

Starting my journey:

For the past 5 years, I’ve been a SAHM, and while I loved being there to take care of my daughter, now that she’s started school, I feel like I can finally focus on building something for myself. Now, don’t get me wrong — being a stay at home mom is a lot of hard work, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I know firsthand how important it is to give your all to your family.

That being said, there were plenty of moments where I felt that I wasn’t accomplishing “enough.” Even though you’re doing so much, you can tend to feel like you’re not moving forward in the world. Yes, you’re helping others grow, helping your children and your partner move forward, but it’s easy to feel like your own dreams have been put on hold. Life can feel stagnant as you watch others flourish. It’s work that never ends: you’re on the clock 24/7, with a never-ending task list and barely any time to yourself, if any at all. And even when you are given that time, you have to choose wisely what you do with it. Sometimes, even a simple shower or bathroom break feels like a luxury!

As much as I loved that role, I began to crave more — I needed to give more. I needed to provide more. I tried so many hobbies and interests, always searching for something I could not only enjoy, but also turn into a source of income to help my family. Nothing seemed to stick, but I kept trying and kept learning. Then, I started flipping furniture and then moved into woodworking, and everything just seemed to click. I realized I had a knack for it, and it quickly grew into something that I genuinely loved.

Now that my daughter is in school, I am thrilled to be diving into this new chapter. I’ve finally been able to explore so many things that were once dreams. I recently finished real estate classes and have been signed on with McGraw in Oklahoma. I’ve also decided to jump headfirst into this blog, and I am finally making the time to start one of the books I’ve always wanted to write. As the weather cools down, I’m back to my woodworking and furniture projects, which brings me joy and helps out financially around the house while I’m just getting started on my real estate journey.

And another thing to add — I recently inherited a small cabin in the woods on a nice piece of property. I’m so excited to begin remodeling it, chipping away to create a peaceful retreat for myself, my family, and friends. Eventually, I’d love to make it a getaway for others to enjoy as well. I can’t wait to share that journey with you, alone with so many others!

Why I started this blog:

For a long time, I’ve had a mix of ideas, interests, and dreams swirling around, but I always put off creating a blog because I felt like I needed a single, focused niche to succeed. But the truth is, I’m not just one thing (and neither are you). I’m someone who finds joy in a wide range of passions — home design, DIY, storytelling, and much more — and I realized that’s exactly what I want to bring to this blog. Instead of boxing myself into one topic, I want this space to reflect who I really am and share the many things that inspire me (and hopefully they inspire you, too).

This blog is my way of embracing all my interests without apology. It’s a place where I can be open about my journey, from balancing motherhood and my career to exploring creative projects, learning real estate, and renovating spaces. I want to connect with others who may feel the same pull to find their purpose and make their lives more fulfilling, whatever that looks like for them.

At the heart of this blog, I hope to create a family where we can inspire each other to explore, create, and maybe take a few risks in the pursuit of something meaningful. Whether it’s a DIY, writing a book, or just sharing a laugh over the daily messiness that is life. I want this blog to be a place you can come to find a little encouragement, a fresh idea, or maybe even a spark of inspiration for your own journey.

What you can expect:

First and foremost, you can expect honesty and transparency. My goal is to one day make a living from this blog, but I promise that I will only ever share products and services that I genuinely believe in and have personally tested. I am committed to building trust with you, and that means being selective about what I promote. I will never recommend something that I haven’t used myself or didn’t truly like.

One of my biggest priorities is to keep this space authentic. I don’t want to push products just to make a profit. Do I want to make money? Of course. Who doesn’t? But I’m dedicated to doing it in a way that is genuine. I want to bring content, recommendations, and insights that I believe in, not just to line my pockets.

As I have stated above, this blog is a blend of everything that I love and find valuable. You’ll find home projects, renovations, DIYs, travel tips, organization, personal wellness, routines, and eventually my writing journey. You will find a bit of everything. If you’re someone who loves exploring different aspects of life, you’re in the right place. I will be sharing both my successes and challenges as I navigate my way through these many interests.

I hope that I can bring you inspiration to take into your own life. I want this to be a place where all of you can gather tips and trips and find the encouragement to try something new yourself.

I will bring my personal journey as a mom, a creative, a real estate agent, and really just someone who is always learning. My goal is to keep things real, which means you’ll read all the messy bits as well as the wins.

I hope to create a space where you feel welcome, seen, and safe. I want to create a family where we can share our ideas, our wins, our losses, and support each other.

I want to know your feedback, and would love to know what resonates with you or what you would like to see more of. I hope you always feel free to comment, reach out, and/or share your thoughts. This blog is as much about connecting with you as it is about sharing this journey.
