Fitness Week 3 Update

Some of the links in this post may be affiliate links, which means I might make a small commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you! But don’t worry, I only ever share things I’ve actually used and genuinely love.

Week 3 has been a total game changer. Has my body physically changed? Aside from my posture, not much. It’s a bit more firm, but measurements are mostly the same. And the way I feel? That has absolutely changed.

This week, I started waking up even earlier to get some extra walking in. Just me, my thoughts, and the peace and quiet before the kids wake up. And let me tell you, the difference is insane. Not only am I getting those steps in, but I can actually take an uninterrupted shower. No tiny voices calling for me, no sudden emergencies. Just me.

Even when we got hit with second winter (because of course we did) and storms rolled in, I still got up before sunrise, laced up my shoes, and did my morning walk (from a treadmill), water in hand. The consistency is paying off, even if I can’t see it yet.

Challenges from the week: Workout wise, there hasn’t been much in the way of difficulties. I was supposed to start drinking the new greens powder I got… but wow, that’s been a struggle. I managed two days. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever tasted, but let’s be real… it’s not good either.

Measurement Updates:

Arms: 25cm

Waist: 77cm

Stomach: 87cm

Glutes: 94cm

Thighs: 54cm

Activity Stats:

Steps: 73,269

Exercise: 7 hours

Calories: 3,417

FRIDAY:

Steak Burritos.

It was a lazy day, and while we typically go out and get something to eat on Fridays, the kids had distant learning today and I wasn’t feeling it. So my partner made some simple burritos with some steak.

SATURDAY:

Hawaiian Bros.

There is really nothing to say about this.

SUNDAY:

Smash Burgers.

This is Josh’s favorite thing to make, especially when we have company over. Which we did today.

MONDAY:

Shrimp Burritos.

This was my first time making this one, and it was well worth it. I do want to make the rice in a different way next time, but it was still tasty and healthy!

You can find the recipe here!

TUESDAY:

Pineapple Chicken & Rice.

I told you that this was going to be a staple in our house for the next few weeks, and here it is again.

It was still good this time, too. Be prepared to see it again next week (unless you give me some other options that sound good and make me want to try them).

WEDNESDAY:

Smash Burgers.

I am beginning to realize that we hyper focus on certain meals for a while and eat nothing but those.

I might need to look into cooking something different so you guys don’t get bored of seeing the same thing but in a different order every week.

THURSDAY

Mediterranean Steak Bowl.

We had this last week, but this week the recipe has changed. Instead of using Greek Yogurt for the base of the sauce, we tried cottage cheese. In most instances, I think that would be a good change, but I feel like the cottage cheese didn’t have enough flavor. Definitely will do the Greek Yogurt again!

Next Weeks Plans

This week I will focus on working out with more equipment. We have a workout cage that allows us to do basically whatever we want and I love it, especially with leg days.

A new challenge for next week: First, I want to keep trying to drink the green stuff in the mornings. Second, I would like to incorporate a little workout in the morning along with my walks. I want to put more focus on my core, and feel like I could do an easy 2 rounds of my my core strength training after my walk.
